During the Camino I have been asking God a lot of questions. I feel like I’ve been standing outside of doors He’s not ready to open, just knocking. And over and over He keeps saying the same word: patience. Be patient and walk with me.

But honestly, it’s been comforting. I can come to the Lord with no expectations, just an open heart. Sometimes all I can do it walk, step in step, side by side, with the creator of it all. He knows me, He knows my will, and He knows and loves every part of my heart. It’s simple. It’s why we were created, in the very beginning Adam and Eve walked with God in the garden. All He wants is relationship.

Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains.”

‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬

Lord thank you for restoring my soul. Let me walk with you and sustain me with Your love. You are an intentional Father, thank you for slowing me down and allowing me to walk in patience and steadiness.

“but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭31‬ ‭

  1. Julia – way to go sister. It takes a lot of courage and faith to keep knocking and to tune your ear to the Father inviting you to be patient and to keep walking step by step with Him. This is beautiful. And that picture is amazing, look at that long and winding road. Much like our faith and this Journey with Jesus of course.
